Everybody wants to be happy. Even though we wish for happiness day and night, our lives are often filled with the complete opposite- stress, worry, discouragement, depression, disappointment, anxiety and loneliness, to name but a few! The pleasant experiences we do have are fleeting and require lots of effort to maintain, indeed the only things that seem to come effortlessly are the things we do not want! Without any choice we have to experience difficulties and problems and real happiness normally alludes us. This is not because happiness isn’t possible but that we are simply looking in the wrong place.
