“If mindfulness degenerates, all dharma’s degenerate”
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Training in mindfulness is an integral part of the practice of meditation and is becoming increasingly recognized as a beneficial and effective means for improving our quality of life.
This special day retreat will explore mindfulness within its original context of Buddhist meditation. We will learn how to harness this powerful function of the mind, not only to achieve temporary mental peace, but as the foundation for progressing through various levels of concentration eventually leading to the attainment of tranquil abiding. When we attain tranquil abiding we no longer experience any physical or mental discomfort and we can very easily gain deep realizations of the spiritual path.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
