About the Course

On this course, we will learn to understand what meditation is and how we can familiarise our mind with a positive outlook to whatever arises.

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.

1.30-2pm: Registration

2-3pm: Session 1

3-3.45pm: Break & informal discussion

About the Teacher

Gen-La KunsangGen-la Kelsang Kunsang is a Kadampa Buddhist nun with more than 25 years experience, during which time she has travelled the world teaching meditation and explaining Buddha’s teachings. She demonstrates an extraordinary and inspirational example of a modern-day Kadampa practitioner. Her teachings are powerful and clear.
