Malaga! Scottish Sangha Retreat

With Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang and Kelsang Osung

3-day Option – Friday 20th April to Sunday 22nd April
5-day Option – Friday 20th April to Tuesday 24th April

About the Retreat

Get away from it all and let go of your worries in the beautiful and peaceful mountains of Malaga. This tranquil retreat centre is the ideal place to absorb yourself in quiet meditation on the exquisite and inspiring Lamrim teachings, the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment.

The 3 Scottish Dharma centres, KMC Glasgow, KMC Edinburgh and Vajrayana KBC have got together to organise an away retreat with the wish that the Scottish Sangha connect and grow as a community of spiritual friends. Over 5 days we will have the precious opportunity to engage in the 14 lamrim meditations presented in the book “How to Understand the Mind” by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. We are presenting both a 5-day and a 3-day option for you to choose from.

Our suggestion is that you fly on Thursday 19th April in the evening, arriving ready to begin the retreat on Friday morning. On the Friday morning after breakfast and a brief meeting on the practicalities of the retreat, we will enjoy the morning walking in the mountains and taking in the vistas.  There will be 2 retreat sessions on the Friday and then Saturday we will begin the full retreat schedule of 3 retreat sessions a day and Wishfulfilling Jewel tsog puja in the evenings. There will be a more informal Q+A with Gen-la included in the schedule too.

For those taking the 3-day option, there is a flight leaving on the Sunday evening. For those fortunate enough to stay for the full retreat there is an ideal flight back to Glasgow leaving on Tuesday night. For more information please see the section titled “Travel” below.
