About the Course

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of city living and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of an Urban Meditation Retreat.

Three simple guided meditations that can be practiced by anyone. With regular practice, these meditations help us to experience the mind of compassion.

What exactly is compassion? Compassion is a mind that is motivated by cherishing other living beings and wishes to release them from their suffering.

Timetable:

9.30-10am: Registration

10-11.30am: Session 1

12-1pm: Session 2

2.30-3.30pm: Session 3

About the Teacher

Gen-La KunsangGen-la Kelsang Kunsang is the principal teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh. She is highly experienced, well-respected and has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years. Throughout this time she has travelled the world teaching meditation and the Buddhist way of life, serving also as a Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU (retired). Her tireless and compassionate example has won the admiration and affection of many students. She demonstrates an extraordinary and inspirational example of a modern-day Kadampa practitioner.  Her teachings are powerful and clear.
