Mindfulness and meditation is widely recommended for dealing with stress, anxiety and the quest for a purposeful life. Everyone has the inner resilience and resources to rise to the challenges of modern life. We just need to be shown how to tap into our innate good qualities.

Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a talk and a second guided meditation based on the topic. The class ends with discussion and Q & A. Refreshments are also included.

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful we shall be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we shall experience true happiness.” –Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

About the class

What does the class entail?

Each class consists of a breathing meditation to settle the mind, a short talk exploring an aspect of training in mindfulness and a second meditation based on the ideas raised. The session concludes with some take away advice that can be practised beyond the sessions allowing the benefits to pervade our life.

Do I have to attend all 6 weeks?

No, each class is self-contained and can be attended on a drop-in basis. However, it is beneficial if possible to attend the entire series of classes.
