* These sessions are ideal for those wishing to start meditating and for those who want to deepen their existing experience. Although part of a series, the classes are self-contained and no previous experience is required.

* Please feel free to drop in on a class-by-class basis. Classes are held every week unless otherwise stated. No special clothing is required.

No class 31 May. Classes resume 7 June with a new course.

Time: 7-8.30pm

Our instinctive reactions to situations can often make things worse, so if we wish to improve ourselves and our situation we need to take a different approach.

Learn skilful techniques to remain balanced, flexible and peaceful in the midst of difficult situations and conflicts.

Join us for a course of learning about the cool, spacious mind of patience, the direct opponent to the mind of anger.

This is a course open to everyone. Dress comfortably. Seating is on chairs. Please bring your own cushion if you wish to sit on the floor.

Gen lhamo

Gen Kelsang Lhamo is a Kadampa Buddhist nun with over 30 years’ experience. She is greatly admired as a meditation teacher, and is especially known for her ability to inspire others to recognise and identify with their potential.

About the class

What does the class entail?

Each class consists of a breathing meditation to settle the mind, a short talk exploring an aspect of training in mindfulness and a second meditation based on the ideas raised. The session concludes with some take away advice that can be practised beyond the sessions allowing the benefits to pervade our life.

Do I have to attend all 6 weeks?

No, each class is self-contained and can be attended on a drop-in basis. However, it is beneficial if possible to attend the entire series of classes.
