In each class, a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to bring anything. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity to ask questions.

Fee £10/ drop-in class.

No meditation experience is necessary, the classes are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators, and everyone is welcome.

Habits of happy people – July course

We tend to make the attainment of happiness more complicated than it actually is, by believing that we need things such as success, praise, people, status, looks and possessions etc. to achieve it. The reality is that none of these things can give us lasting happiness and depending upon them actually makes out mind prone to anxiety, frustration and disappointment.

Buddha explains simple attitudes that we can all  learn to cultivate that will really make us happy. On this course we will explore how we can cultivate the happy minds of contentment, gratitude, acceptance and joy. It will include guided meditations to show us how to do this.

Keep Cool – August Course

Anger can take many forms, from mild irritation to rage, but it is always painful and destructive. In this course we can learn how it is possible to reduce the frequency and intensity of our anger and eventually eradicate it altogether. Eventually we can inspire those around us to do the same

About the teacher

Alana has been practising meditation and studying Buddhism for many years. She brings to her teachings a wealth of practical ways to use Buddhist meditation, sharing her appreciation and experience of the many benefits for our relationships and happiness.

She is known for her practical, down-to-earth and light-hearted approach.
